Our History
Founded in 1997, 2D Electronics began as a small electronics repair shop. It specialized in industrial electronics and controls. At the same time we have been gaining experience in industrial automation serving plastics industry.
In 2010, 2D Electronics & Automation took a new turn and with 3,000sqf facility began manufacturing turnkey automation systems for injection molding applications. We have successfully integrated automation systems with various types of injection molding machines and machine manufacturers. Majority of our work has consisted of insert overmolding. We have successfully designed automation for insert molding from 2 to 55 cavity molds. Our customer base has continually grown through the years from local in Canada and USA to Mexico, Central America and Asia.
In 2016 we have moved to a new 12,500sqf facility with much more potential. Currently we are set up to supply our customers with complete turnkey systems including final runoffs with injection molding machines in our facility. This will allow us to work out all the “bugs” out of the system prior to shipping, reducing installation time at our customer’s location.
As we continue to grow, we are always looking for new challenging opportunities.
